Hello and welcome! My name is Leah Hummel (they/she).

I am a Reno, Nevada costume & crafts educator, designer and maker with a BFA in Theatre Design & Technology from Western Michigan University and an MFA in Live Design at University of Texas at Austin. I am the Costume Design & Technology Instructor Specialist at The University of Reno, Nevada. In addition to costume and props design, I have 10+ years of experience as a teaching artist and accessibility aide. I believe that inclusive education is the future of the theatrical form.

In my free time, I enjoy performing in drag, making cosplays, attempting to teach myself to bake, playing with my cat, Toe, seeking out tourist traps along highways and organizing my remarkably large earring and shoe collection.
